Peter Crawford: Film Maker - Photographer - Lecturer

Peter Crawford continues his passion for the Pacific.

He is currently writing a new book about the Polynesians and their pioneering voyages of discovery and settlement - and the changes to their world that came in the wake of Captain Cook and the other European explorers and traders.

Since 2003, Peter Crawford has been a regular guest lecturer aboard the cruise-freighter Aranui which is the lifeline for the Marquesas Islands, carrying freight to and from this remote Polynesian archipelago, nearly 1000 miles north of Tahiti. Peter's talks and film presentations (in both French and English) are very popular with the 200 passengers who venture to this isolated part of the Pacific, eager to discover for themselves the spirit of Polynesia.
